Elk Ranch Academy (E.R.A.) is specifically designed for boys between the ages of 7 and 17.  At Elk Ranch Academy we believe that working to help boys change unsuccessful behaviors early in life will allow them more rewards and opportunities in their later teen years and on into adulthood. 

At E.R.A. we offer a 360-degree comprehensive program which consists of a combination of choice theory, individual academic plans, family restoration, structured therapy, and animal husbandry with a good dose of hard work and hard play.   One of our main goals is to keep enrollment low so that each student’s needs are given plenty of time and attention. 

Upon enrollment, each student at E.R.A. will have a Student Service Plan created for him.  This plan will allow us to monitor each boy’s progress thru the program.  Each plan will encompass academic, therapeutic, work, family and social aspects of the program.  Life Coaches are trained to help the boys in all their day-to-day activities, from basic life skills such as doing laundry, making beds and cleaning to animals and how to care for them.  

 E.R.A. also uses camp outs, fishing trips, hiking and other activities as a therapeutic tool.  Life coaches are there to help boys with homework and projects.  Therapy, whether structured or informal, is so integrated into the program that most of the time boys think they are just having fun and don’t realize that they are growing.  These opportunities for therapeutic growth are perfect for this age group and are a very valuable tool when dealing with boys that are resistant to change. 

Elk Ranch Academy is a Christ-centered adolescent therapeutic boarding school dedicated to helping 7-17 yr old boys find the pathway back to happiness and family harmony.
