SPIRITUAL MISSION STATEMENT

Through belief and dependence on Jesus Christ, Elk Ranch Academy, Inc., is committed to reaching, equipping, and mobilizing gifted young men.  Through positive peer culture, compassionate service and academic excellence, our students will be enlightened, encouraged and restored to the basic spiritual foundation that we know to be the path to happiness.  By providing an environment of love, accountability, positive role modeling and shared Christian values we endeavor to instill within the hearts of our students the love and acceptance of Christ.

1. We believe in a risen Lord, Jesus Christ. 

2. We believe every child is a child of a loving Heavenly Father and has God-given destiny, purpose and gifts.

3. We believe there is no such thing as a troubled children; rather, they are people of greatness who have been deceived and blinded and in desperate need of truth. 

4.  We believe that the love of God is sufficient to heal, restore, and strengthen a child's life and return him to a place of power and authority. 

5. We believe that submission to authority and compassion for others are the keys that will unlock a future of success for the children of this generation. 

6. We believe that character counts, and that small adjustments made today in the lives of our kids will create huge dividends for generations to come. 

7. We believe that gratefulness, appreciation, and integrity are foundational and that the lack thereof will only lead to more frustration, discontentment and poor choices. 

8.  We believe that God has empowered all of us with the responsibility to love, care for and assist his children, to the best of our ability, whether those children are our own or simply in need.

9. We believe that the key to success is to be accountable, take responsibility for your actions, change what is changeable, and leave the rest to God.

ELK RANCH aCADEMY

ACADEMIC MISSION STATEMENT 

We at Elk Ranch Academy believe in the power of the human mind and soul, the tenacity of the human spirit and the need for child to rise above negative norms in an environment that is safe, nurturing and encouraging, in a form that young people can relate to and accept.  Upon completion of a highly structured, yet individual academic program, E.R.A. students have a renewed and much improved sense of self, an appreciation of the need for authority and an education in the role of leadership, as well as a deep appreciation for service to others and a renewed awareness of the basic foundations of Christianity. 

1. We believe children of above average intellect and emotional sensitivity  respond to an internal imperative that cannot be met in average classroom environments, causing them to rebel out of frustration. 

2. We believe that the majority of students have been instilled with a foundation of parental values that are timeless and sound. 

3. It is our belief that children are provided with certain windows of opportunities in life where positive intervention can make measurable differences; the years between 7-13 have been demonstrated to be one of them. 

4. It is quite possibly part of our collective destiny to interface with children on the verge of coming to terms with the realities of the modern world and to provide them with constructive guidance. 

5. Kids have many questions. We believe that it is our responsibility, as loving adults, to help them discover answers. 

6. As mature adults we believe in responsibility, accountability, respect and commitment and the passing on these values. 

7. We believe children do indeed learn what they live. Role modeling from peers supported and guided by caring, loving adults is a powerful combination. 

8. We believe that a highly structured, yet individual academic program is the ideal environment to teach students how to set and meet realistic goals. 

9. Real life criteria are the basis for establishing academic goals that students will recognize as positive habits to incorporate into their lifestyle, thus empowering them to recognize obstacles and utilizing techniques to overcome them.
